An excellent character-driven look at what life would truly be like in the midst of a zombie infestation. It is currently up to issue #50.




Transmetropolitan

a very insightful and totally whacked-out look at society set in the future.



Watchmen

Alan Moore's brilliant perspective on the human condition and masked vigilantes set in an alternate 1985. Just had to put this in here. The movie is making me talk about it again haha.



Batman: The Killing Joke

A short Batman story written by Alan Moore as well. It deals with the relationship between Batman and the Joker and gives one possible origin of the Joker (The real origin is uknown and it is said that the Joker remembers different events due to his insanity). This was one of the handful of comics that Chris Nolan gave Heath Ledger to study the character with.



Hellboy created by Mike Mignola

The art style is GORGEOUS and the writing is compelling.


I am also getting into Will Eisner's The Spirit. I want to have read some before I see the movie haha.
