ALL HAIL THE INTERNET
anyways i searched the gears firewall problem and search through the forums and found this solution that is easy for anyone who has a torrent-er
Hi guys, had the same problem - here's what you do to eliminate it:the restriction has something to do with your router settings. if you go to blade Network settings (on your X360) and use use Network settings / Text Xbox Live Connection, it'll probably say your NAT is Strict, you have to do some port forwarding on your router for X360. first of all find out what's your IP address for Xbox (you'll see it on the blade Network settings ass well). Then turn your computer on, go to the router settings in your web-browser (you have to find proper access in your manual, or contact the helpdesk - for most routers is something like http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.2.1... default password is usually admin/admin, but again, you have to find out for yourself.) when you enter the settings, use your administration panel to enter NAT -> Virtual server. The ports you have to open for Xbox live are 88 UDP, 3074 UDP, 3074 TCP. be sure to apply this only for your IP address of Xbox360, not for your computer. here you go, your firewall restriction message from GOW2 multiplayer is gone. (you can run Text Xbox Live Connection again, it should say the NAT is open now). I'm not sure if your Xbox can be running when you're doing this, but i had my off power while applying this changes on router. enjoy your MP game.
