piracy tiers

trust me, I have FLASH DRIVES

God Tier - Usenet

Indisputable. Old-school nerds were downloading Duke3d and that jazz (jazz jackrabbit?) back in the day. paying for access is no obstacle to the classy pirate. all brandy snifter built straight into your flintlock.

High Tier - BitTorrent

huge variety in networks. embraces the precepts of web 2.0 without becoming horse shit. (looking at you, myspace, youtube. you call that a community I call it naddery)

Mid Tier - Napster, Soulseek, Direct Download (rapidshit, megashit, mediashit)

Napster beats out the next tier entirely by manner of nostalgia. Also gets bonus controversy points. Soulseek, apparently, had some rare-variety releases circulated back in the day. For that, mid tier. Scoping blogs and forums for albums, while lacking in efficiency, gains you whatever insight bros and broettes choose to toss into that thread or blog or what have you. Dankness.

Low Tier - KaZaA, Limewire, eMule

spyware like an MI6 factory what the fuck like churning out spies

Dog Shit Tier - Ripping media from youtube uploads

as if putting a song through the blender that is youtube wasn't enough disgrace to the arist. have a heart.

Not covered - IRC, Lycos (Probably high-top)

I would drop Soulseek to the Low Tier. The first line of text they have on their site is "hey we're spyware free!" The first thing I got like 2yrs ago was a spyware threat.

Apart from that. Good job man.
YOU WERE AWESOME YESTERDAY NIGHT
