Wii: Official Leader Of The Next Gen Consoles
Well what was bound to happen has just broke news. The Nintendo Wii has now officially outsold the Xbox 360 by .06 million consoles, making it the market leader of the home console business.

Actually (and I'm the last person I expected to say this) those numbers aren't completely accurate. Pretty close, but the Wii has yet to sell more overall than the 360.
Wait for NPD numbers for the accurate results. For what it's worth, Halo 3 should help the 360 (at least temporarily) pull a little bit farther ahead.
Whatever the numbers are we all know its close. It interesting to think that with each system's holiday lineup being pretty good (in fact amazing on Microsofts part) it dosn't matter where they stand because I know games like Halo 3, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Bioshock, and Mario Galaxy will sell consoles by themselves.
In all honesty, I could care less about sales. As long as I have the console that I want, what should I care if in the long run, a different system sells an inaccurate 7% more than my console? Is there anything I can do about it? Buy another 360?

I agree with tusken. If you own a console because it will sell more than an opponent then you are seriously misguided.
On the other hand, as anon pointed out selling consoles is often directly related to game support. The GameCube sold poorly and had very few stellar titles. The PS2 sold incredibly well and had the most games of any console in the history of gaming.
thats because the gamecube sucked balls and was basically the console equivalent to a vagina.

please. if anyone here had owned a gamecube, theyd know that its not as shitty as the universe thinks. graphics were equivalent to ps2, good multiplayer games, portability, and stellar titles. gc didnt have bad nessicarily bad games, it had poor third party support.

My friend says that RE4 on the Wii is the greatest thing since anything. He likes the aiming I guess. What a fantastic game that was.
